The third-annual Mass General Research Institute Image Contest has finally begun, and we are excited to see what this year has to offer!
Each year we put out a call across Massachusetts General Hospital and its affiliate institutions for researchers to share images of their work and the story behind their science. The contest provides the unique opportunity for science lovers across the globe to get an inside look as Mass General research, and allows scientists the chance to share their story and unique point of view.
If you are a Mass General researcher, we invite you to enter our 2020 Mass General Research Institute Image Contest from August 3, 2020 through September 25, 2020.
We are looking for any images that represent research at Mass General, including (but not limited to):
- Microscope/lab images
- 3-D models
- Scans
- Team photos
Keep in mind, some of our top images last year were chosen because of the accompanying story, so we encourage creativity and speaking from the heart when describing your submission!
Entries will be featured on Facebook for a public vote beginning October 5, 2020 through October 16, 2020. After the voting period has ended, a panel of judges will deliberate to select a winner and several finalists from among the images that received the most likes.
The winner will be announced on November 6, 2020 and will receive the following prizes:
- Image featured in an ad in Proto Magazine
- Image featured in a display on Mass General’s main campus
- A Research Institute fleece
Finalists will receive:
- Image featured alongside the winner in the Mass General main campus display
- A $25 Visa gift card
We are excited for the image contest to begin and look forward to seeing your images. Be sure to check back for updates and to enter! Just make sure you read the contest rules below before you enter. Good luck!
